Kayleigh & Magno
Wedding Questionnaire
How and when did the two of you first meet?
In Australia at a Latin Dance class.
How did you get engaged? Tell us the story…
Magno proposed at a family event so that Kayleigh’s favourite people could all be part of the moment. A video montage of all their special moments to the song Kayleigh walked down the aisle to set the scene for the proposal.
Why did you choose The Chapel Montville to host your wedding?
It was just like a fairy tale. So gorgeous and has a wonderful view.
Describe the theme/decorations for the day and the inspiration behind it.
The theme was romantic, dreamy, and elegant. Kayleigh wanted to feel like a princess for the day and we wanted it to feel warm and special for all our guests.
What were the highlights of your day?
Walking down the aisle and declaring our love with our closest friends and family. Listening to all the vows and speeches. It was a very special day. For me (Kayleigh) it was a highlight to wear my dress for the day and just feel amazing. The band was incredible, LOVED having live music. There was lots of dancing, and the food was also really delicious.
What do you think made your wedding day unique?
I think because we planned it all and organised everything, it was truly what we wanted and our uniqueness as a couple and the things we value were showcased on the day. Magno’s family didn’t speak any English, so we had some of the ceremony and speeches translated. It was really special for our families to be together for this moment. We also had people come from UK, America and Brazil and our little Pomeranian Rio was there with us.
Any advice or words of wisdom to offer other couples?
Don’t get obsessed about ALL the details. Choose what is most import to YOU. I like lists and this helped me stay on top of things.
Whilst some details do make a difference on the overall vibe of the day, some things are out of your control, and you just have to go with it and make it work to enjoy your day. We had a ring mix up and BOTH our wedding rings were temporarily lost minutes before the ceremony. One was located and we borrowed another from a guest for the ceremony. As the bride I found out when I was in the horse and carriage, but it was just too late to do anything, so I just laughed and went with it.
Did you enjoy a honeymoon? If so, tell us about where you went & why…
As we had international family staying with us, we haven’t been away yet. Hopefully we will go on a delayed honeymoon next year!
