Wedding Questionnaire

How and when did the two of you first meet?

Kieran and I met as friends 20 years ago with our children attending the same church Sunday School. After 13 years we drifted apart with our children doing different things. We bumped into each other 7 years ago, caught up for coffee and 4 months later we started dating. I married one of my best friends.

How did you get engaged? Tell us the story….

When my mother passed away suddenly in 2017, one of her gifts to me was her wedding and engagement ring. I mentioned to Kieran at the time, if we were to marry, I’d use my mothers wedding ring and also take the date of my parents wedding. My brother was out from the UK and he took him aside and asked him for permission to ask me to marry him. He did so on Mooloolaba Beach on 25 April (His parents wedding anniversary) we both felt privilege to share both our parent’s special day in some way.

What were the highlights of your day?

Having a celebration and so much fun with everyone we love and who loves us. Having entertainers at The Chapel and The Gallery was incredible and enhanced the day of celebrations perfectly. The weather and the care and compassion to detail from the amazing staff.

Why did you choose The Chapel Montville to host your wedding?

The beautiful setting, the incredible carvings. The beauty it stands on are for memories to be made. It has a vast romantic feel. Even rain wouldn’t spoil it’s beauty.

Describe the theme/decorations for the day and the inspiration for them:

As a mature bride and my favourite colour being Burgundy, we decided to incorporate this colour into the dress along with two dusky pink and two burgundy bridesmaids to compliment the colours, along with silver. The burgundy gives the feeling of romance.

What do you think made your wedding day unique?

The venue, family, friends, staff and weather…….all those things together made the perfect day. When we think of our day, it brings so much joy to us.

Any advice or words of wisdom to offer other couples?

The world is your oyster…..conquer it together as a team and in love and respect.

Did you enjoy a honeymoon? If so, tell us about where you went & why…

We were privileged to take a two-week cruise where we were looked after, pampered and had a most wonderful time enjoying quality time together. Perfect.
