Wedding Questionnaire

How and when did the two of you first meet?

My now husband and I met at a friend’s birthday party and instantly connected.

How did you get engaged? Tell us the story…

After 2 and a half years of waiting for a ring he finally proposed. Nick planned an evening together; we first went on a Gondola ride on the Noosa River where he got on 1 knee and asked me to be his wife – to which I said yes! We then went for dinner where we celebrated and called both our families and friends to tell them the news.

Describe the theme/decorations for the day and the inspiration behind it.

Our decorations were based around a colour theme of purple.

Why did you choose The Chapel Montville to host your wedding?

We had been searching for a ceremony location for months, we had views several at Mount Tamborine in the Gold Coast hinterland and many within the Montville/Maleny region. We hadn’t fallen in love with anything we had seen. We weren’t looking to get married in a church/chapel which is why we had looked at all the others first. After we booked our appointment to view The Chapel there was absolutely no doubt that it would be the place we got married, the views are spectacular and the chapel itself it beyond anything we could have hoped for.

What were the highlights of your day?

The ceremony was the highlight of the entire day. From that first glance at each other, to saying our vows with our close family and friends. It was full of emotions, love, happiness, and disbelief that the ceremony could have been that perfect.

What do you think made your wedding day unique?

My wedding dress with the purple in the skirt.

Any advice or words of wisdom to offer other couples?

JUST BREATHE!! Take in every second of not only the wedding day but the lead up to it, no matter the problems or situations that do not go according to plan on the day those things no matter how small or big go completely unnoticed. Enjoy your day, it is what you’ve been planning and waiting for.

Did you enjoy a honeymoon? If so, tell us about where you went & why…

We went to Airlie Beach for our honeymoon, the weather was overcast and raining the entire time we were there, but we still made the most of it and enjoyed each other’s company.
